New Work - Mamu Big City Bakery & Gifts

Thanks for stopping by. Things have been busy in every aspect since I’ve last updated my portfolio. About 3 months ago I left my job at Parts Canada as an in-house designer and joined the design team at a local advertising and marketing agency. Most of the work there revolves around municipality tourism, small to medium business and a fair bit of branding and identity work. It’s been an interesting adjustment from the catalogue days. Things have been very busy there but I’ve still managed to land some enjoyable freelance work on the side to keep busy.

New Work - Mamu Big City Bakery & Gifts

On the personal side, I’m getting married this September so I’ve been even busier working on the identity for that, probably the most fun project to date (and one that I’m very particular about). I’ve never really liked to design for myself because of the whole bias issue, but it’s been a good challenge so far that pushes me to really think how a relationship/marriage can be represented via design. Both my fiancĂ© and I are in the creative fields (she’s a photographer) so we’ve both had a hand in the process so far. In a few weeks we’ll be wrapping up the design work on invitations and then heading over to Doublenaut in Toronto to silkscreen and assemble.
